Friendly Fill-ins ~ Week 90

It’s Friday… time for Friendly Fill-ins hosted by Annie at McGuffy’s Reader and Ellen at 15andmeowing. Click the badge above to visit other Fill-in posts… go on and click, you will be glad you did. It’s fun to read the other Fill-ins… it will make you smile.

  1. The flu shot most likely worked for me this year, thankfully. I would have missed this beautiful evening.
  2. I think everyone should take time and do something that makes them especially happy daily.
  3. I (almost always) say my rosary at night, because it connects me to my Mom. The nuns would be so proud. They thought I was a lost cause.
  4. I almost (never) get stuff done on time because I am a PROcrastinator. It gives me a cranky that I have PROcrastination but it’s been with me a long time. So, I go with it.

Welcome to WordPress, Annie!

  1. Beautiful sunset! I can almost feel is warmth. Ahhh, I’m looking forward to spring. 🙂 I think it’s important to make time each day to do something that gives you joy. Procrastination is an issue here, as well. But…I’m doing better. I progressively improve a little each year. Who knows by the time I check out of this life maybe procrastination won’t be part of my personality. That’s baggage I don’t want to take through the pearlie gates. 😉 Have a good weekend!

  2. What a beautiful sunset…I have heard they are beautiful on the Gulf.Once my parents were at Key West. Mama was able Daddy to go to that place where everyone goes to see the sunset….he went kicking and screaming but loved it.

The nuns would be very proud of you but mostly YOUR MOM is proud and that is big!!
We are so glad to see you posting

    1. There truly is something special about the sunsets on the Gulf. Hmmm, where is this special place at Key West? As I read I thought you were going to say the Hemingway House but I got too far ahead. The nuns are shocked, I am sure. My Mom slept every night with her rosary and I have it… 🙂 I am happy to be posting… thank you, Madi and Mom. We will see how long I stick with it… Ha!

  3. I am so happy to see you posting again. That is a beautiful photo. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad the flu shot worked for you, so far so good around here too 🙂 That is impressive that you say the rosary every day. I will confess to not having used it since 2010. I used to pray the rosary with KaChoo and when she passed, I was so devastated, I couldn’t do it. I should start again though. For procrastinating, I highly recommend the book titled, Eat That Frog. Have a great weekend! XO

    1. Thanks for the book recommendation… I now have two books to order. The Tao of Pooh and Eat That Frog. Saying the rosary kind of puts me to sleep at night, not a bad thing, Frees my mind of all the other stuff and lets me just concentrate on the rosary. I understand you not being able to say the rosary because of the connection to KaChoo. Enjoy your weekend, too!

  4. Maybe if we declared Procrastination as a “SUPER POWER” at least we’d feel more comfortable with it cause at this point I don’t see anything changing with me anyhow 🙂 Nice to see you posting again 🙂

  5. YAY – my pal Pix pawticipated in Filling In!! Woo Hoo! You’re on a roll now girlie – can’t stop. Seriously though this is a fun Hop to do and it’s really grand learning little bits and pieces about people we THINK we know ever so well isn’t it? First of all I love your photo…..gosh that is incredibly beautiful – lucky you. I’m totally with you on #2……and if I had a rosary I do believe I’d be praying on it every night too…..or maybe starting my day off that way…..I think it’s great you have your Mom’s rosary. I used to be a procrastinator when I was working – after I retired for some weird reason I do everything when I think of it – no more procrastination for me. Well almost no more anyway! 😉

    1. We will see how long I stay with posting… I say as long as I enjoy it or don’t feel overwhelmed. The Fill-ins ARE fun! Life is so much about happiness. We all deserve to be happy. It took me awhile but I now realize that is okay to be happy. My ritual of saying the rosary at night… it calms me and makes me feel close to Mom. Procrastination is an odd one… can’t see you procrastinating but jumping right in there and getting it done with pure joy and HAPPINESS! Hugs to you and scritches to Teddy Bean.

  6. I’ve had the flu shot for years and so far haven’t had the flue, which is a good thing. Doing something that makes us happy every day is a really great answer and I agree totally. I think I’m a bit of a procrastinator as well – things just get in the way.
    Have a lovely week.

    1. Hello Pamela! Things DO get in the way, so true. I did the flu shot but I still had some kind of upper respiratory thing going on that gave me a cranky and is finally after three weeks going away. I had the shot for pneumonia last year and this year, too. Happy is important! Thank you so much for the visit!

  7. Thanks for revisiting my silly blog. I enjoyed your comment and hope we all stay healthy. Great fill-ins! The reclining young man (with the kitten relaxing on his backside) that you admired named his feline Botox. Isn’t that funny? I adore him and his sense of humor.

    1. I enjoyed your blog… I love a sense of funny. I bookmarked it to my favorites and I think I signed up through email but the email thing always shows up late for most blogs. I am happy Botox has a home with a young man that loves him/her… I love seeing kitties in homes with people that love them!

  8. “hey!” Pix, I adore you, and always have. I am so happy to be at WordPress. I think I will be able to enjoy blogging, again. I LOVE your sunset image. I am happy that you saw this and shared it here. Thank you.

I love your answer to #3. I have my mother-in-laws roasary. No one wanted it, because they are not practicing Catholics, though raised to be. She thought it odd that I had converted (before Bill). Now, I, the convert, have her rosary. I like to think she is comfortable with that.

Wishing you a relaxing week! Thank you for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins. Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Annie. Don’t be adoring me… I am a befuddled, quirky, sometimes cranky, sometimes overwhelmed person who is just trying to get it right… 😉 I am happy you are at WordPress, I didn’t know how much you weren’t enjoying blogging at Blogger. I had to turn in my Blogger card back in 2011 because Blogger was driving me to distraction. I am also happy you are at WordPress now because it makes it so easy to know when you have posted and to comment.

I am betting your Mom-in-law is more than comfortable that you have her rosary. Someday when you have time you will have to tell me what pulled you toward the Catholic religion. I was born into it, so. I left it in my college years until I was 35 and my Mom died. I went back to mass and found comfort there until I didn’t anymore and now I am thinking about going back and being a practicing Catholic. I hung on to Mom’s rosary the whole time.
