Good Fences!

DSC_0084 - Copy copy
This is a “Good Fence” in every sense of the word because this boy is a young stallion at Warm Springs Ranch near Boonville, Missouri. It is a breeding facility for the Budweiser Clydesdales. He had his attention directed to the “girls” that day and was calling to them! This pipe fencing is used all over the 300 plus acres and somebody must keep a brush and paint can in hand because the fencing is always pretty and white.

Joining Tex for Good Fences today.

    1. There was quite a bit of that pipe fencing bent up! I think it takes a beating… 😀 I used to be a Tom Sawyer friend and paint pipe fencing at a Quarter Horse barn. Fun when I was a kid, think I would pass now!

        1. I think the Budweiser beer people just love for us to see that beautiful white pipe fencing against those beautiful rolling green hills! BUT who knows there might be something to keeping them from running into it???

  4. It feels like a lifetime since I went for a walk in the country and had the chance to rub a velvety horse nose.
Mind you, I think this chap would have had other things on his mind than talking to a human.

    1. He was a bit bitey and they had a person from the Ranch standing between us and his handsome self. All the other horses were friendly and we were able to give them a good ear rub! Hope your arm is doing better Isobel!

  5. Great picture! Looks like he’s definitely got something on his mind! I can’t imagine keeping all of that fencing in good condition…that would be a full time job!

    1. Hi Janice! CH, the husband, and I have never had to be with a tour group. We just call and make a reservation for two or three if The Mama is coming along. We always go during the week at an off time when it isn’t busy. Just give them a call and go visit.. 🙂 Columbia huh? Home of our second favorite Chinese restaurant.. Mandarin House. We spend alot of time in Columbia.. it’s a great drive!
