I Mean, Really?

SomeBODY needs to explain this to me. What does this muffler thing do for you? I snapped this at Steak&Shake in Jefferson City, MissouREE. I know someBODY loves this car. I could learn to love it. Maybe.

  2. well, lessee here… i found this tail pipe in the ditch but it doesn’t fit my car unless I move some of that bumper and it’s plastic anyway but I could leave a corner in case some idjit gits too close to me and those kids with their hundred-dollar exhaust system can eat my dust vroom vroom!

  3. I’ll have to show this picture to Motor Man and see what he has to say about it. It may just be a redneck thing, though; I can’t imagine a logical reason for it being in that position….

  4. BFF says that it’s probably a make-shift fix after an accident which caused the tail pipe to lose its bracket . . . so, using yankee ingenuity, they extended the tailpipe and rested it against the remaining bumper.

I’m guessing this car is on its last legs . . . um, last tail. 😆

            1. Good Morning! I changed themes this morning! I like it at Tumblr.. 🙂 It will be a fun place to play. I don’t want to make that blog all about photography or maybe I do. I was trying to get away from that here at WordPress recently. You kind have me on a fresh fun start and I am enjoying your posts over there. I tried Tumblr a couple of years ago but I just didn’t get it. I am understanding better now, I will give you a holler if I need help. I like the “ask” page. I am glad I followed you over there, I hope you don’t mind.. 🙂

    1. I don’t think it is considerate of anyBODY cause those are some loud mufflers and I am sure that is why it is on there like that. We have trucks around here that have two of those things sticking out of the back bed of the truck behind the cab. I don’t know how they drive around with them. I know on trucks it is considered a cool exhaust modification. Whatever floats your boat I say!

  5. Hmmmmm………interesting arrangement. I’m curious about the ‘Red Neck’ mentions in other comments? What does it mean Pix?

    1. Jenny there is so much controversy over the term “redneck” that I am too chicken to go there. I seriously would not want to hurt anyBODY’s feelings. I am not good at confrontations on my blog. Maybe just google it? Wiki and Merriam~Webster have lots to say. And it is an interesting arrangement. I think the car’s owner worked at the burger place and I think he/she liked his/her ride LOUD.. 😯

  6. Hi hoping this goes threw-just wanted you to know I am still reading your posts-but word press will no longer allow me to comment on your blogs since I am not part of wordpress-this is quite aggravating as I have several blogs I enjoy reading there Kathy

    1. Looks like you did it Kathy. I don’t have any restrictions on my comments and try to make it as easy as possible for people to comment because I love to see people here Under the Oaks. Sorry about the aggravation. I like WordPress as a blogging platform and while they have some issues I enjoy blogging with them.

    1. We aren’t too crazy about loud neighbors period. And we have had our share of them. One played basketball from midnite to 2am most every day. The BB goal was right by our bedroom. Neighbor stuff is why we are on The Tiny Ten acres but you would be surprised at how noise travels.

      1. We would love to move someplace private but that’s hard to do in London. Let alone the price of a manor in the countryside. But someday!
