Mr. Tanager under his Oak

AnyBODY out there like to share their views about Tweeting. Not bird speak kind of tweeting but peep tweets. Twitter! I am flirting with opening a Twitter account because I have not spent enough time on the computer every ding dang day…!!! I don’t think I even understand twittering or tweeting but I am all curious because I see blogs I read that “tweet” and I think I might be missing something and I don’t want that to happen… 😀 Or has Tweeting twittered out? I am so up on all the social stuff on the computer that it has taken me 4011 years to think about peeping, twittering or tweeting. Any tweets of wisdom?

        1. it really is true. I had a Droid phone for about 6 months–it was shiny and had colorful buttons. >:-D but i never used it the way it was intended and it was all too much effort! kinda like havin’ a Ferrari for neighborhood driving! yep, at some point I had to acknowledge that I didn’t want to TRY to keep up–the inventions are a multitude and it could only make me craaaaaazy! >:-D

          1. Yeppers, I hear you. I understand. I love blogging but it sometimes, most of the times makes me crazy but the people more than make up for it. Blogging is all about keeping up but in a different way I guess. I am on my second iPhone. I don’t trust it. It is smarter than me and has a life of its own.

        2. hahahahhaha! that’s funny: you don’t trust your iPhone! hahahahaha! I heard that it got a voice in its newest incarnation. nuh-uh, no way for me! that’s like those cars that talk to you. they always seemed like Hal the evil computer from 2001 Space Odyssey! or tryin’ to be the boss of me! don’t get me started on GPS–holy crap, it’s takin’ over my brain!

sorry that blogging makes you crazy. is there a better way for you? WordPress won’t leave well enough alone and that bugs me. These personal connections have been an enormous surprise, but right now I can NOT imagine getting through these long days without my little community. A new way to have friends…. tho’ I was the kid who had a pen pal…. >:-D

          1. That is why I have the “smarter than me” phone. CH, the Husband does not ask for directions and does not like the GPS that was gifted to us. He has a nice simple quiet respectful little phone that fits in his pocket and doesn’t talk back. He thought the smartie phone would be good for me so I could blog when we were on the road. I can’t even see to blog on it. It is sitting on the coffee table right now intimidating me. I understand about the comfort of the community Laurel. Blogging friends are good cause we have already sorted out that we like the same or have a thread of something in common.

        3. I was thinking about getting a smartie, as you call it Pix, for blogging while traveling in Europe, but I kept wondering if I could even see the thing well enough. and I DO tend to go on and on! With my Droid, I had fun playing Angry Birds! All that money to play with birds and pigs?! I did a trade-in on Amazon and spent the money in dribs and drabs on books!

Then again, I did love that giant screen! >:-D

  1. I’m afraid I know zip about tweeting….call me an old fuddy duddy……I am on Facebook but I barely have time to keep up on that (in fact I don’t) so I’m a little hesitant to tweet on twitter! I can see myself never moving from my studio and the computer and I’d much rather be outside or reading a book. Dullsville – that’s me!!! 😦

  2. I do facebook but don’t tweet. Maybe I don’t get it. Plus I’m not sure the world cares what I’m doing everyday :). But I’d follow you!

    1. Tex I am just going to blog. I have enough trouble getting a post out there. Why thank you very much on the nice words about the photo treatment! I know you aren’t going to dance around an issue, you are just going to put it out there. I like that. I read your about page the other night! I enjoyed it.

  3. I have no interest in Tweeting. I don’t know why, I just don’t. I guess part of it is because I’ve got enough to do without adding one more thing to the list. lol I do have an FB account, but unlike most who use it to stay in touch w/ friends/family, I use mine mainly to stay on top of local events and my interests. And I do use Pinterest, but that’s also mostly for personal ideas (remodeling, decorating, etc).

    I love the photo. 🙂

Btw, I’m sorry, I forgot that you were on WP, so I’m not sure the rollover tutorial will work. That said, just Google, “make a rollover image on wordpress” and you should be able to find something that will work for you. 🙂

    1. Thanks on the photo Carole. I am going to google rollovers for WP. I think that is a cool tool to have. I am just going to stick to blogging. I can barely keep up with visits to the blogs I enjoy. Thank you for your vist. I have been enjoying getting to know you at Noteworthy Musings!

  4. I have a Twitter account, but found it rather boring, and like someone else said, I am not sure anybody cares what I am thinking! I do FB, but only nominally. My blog posts on FB every day through Networked Blogs, but except for keeping up with cousins and a few far away friends, I don’t do much. I also spend too much time blogging!

        1. I don’t do the face but I do think it is the reason blogging is becoming a wasteland. Blogging will always be around I think but it has certainly fizzled out IMHO. Stay cool, I see you are having some heat like us!

  5. Nice artsy-fartsy photo Pix. We here are Dog Trot Farm are a bit boring, no texting, no tweeting no Facebook, we seem to be the minority, living in the dark ages. Hope you are enjoying these first days of summer! Greetings from Maine, Julie.

    1. Thanks Julie… 😆 That would be me, all artsy-fartsy, umm not so much! I am ready for this HOT DROUGHT of a summer to be history and it will go down as history. Record breaking temperatures with no rain since May 7th. I think the only tweeting I will be hearing will be the birds on the Tiny Ten! Love those greetings from Maine… 🙂

  6. I have a twitter account, but have never tweeted a peep. I follow a couple of folks, but rarely even look at it…. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Let me know if you figure it out!

    1. Thanks Laurel! I checked it out this morning(Ihave been doing nothing but watering!) and it looks like it is going to be interesting, informative and fun. Maybe I can gain control of my “smarter than me” phone!

  8. Pix, I love your pic of the tanager! I’ve only seen one here on our little ponderosa. I don’t tweet, twitter or Face. Personally, I find it’s hard enough to keep up with blogging and I do enjoy that, so don’t want to add anymore busyness to my life. I think blogging is here to stay, even tho it slows down a bit during the busier months. Stay cool and enjoy your week!

  9. I send my posts out via twitter. That’s as far as I tweet. I’ve a hard enough time keeping up with my blog and visiting others. If I had someone else to take care of living my life…maybe I’d do more with twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and so on, and so on. Although I think I’m fine with where I’m at…a little blogging, a little visiting, a lot of living.

  10. Just came back to this. Like a lot of people here, I couldn’t see the point of twitter, but I find locally it is brilliant for up to date infornation. We use it to protect buildings, let people know about traffic jams, getting the word out quickly and cheaply; work wise I have found it brilliant for CPD it has let me follow people and learn so much. I don’t use it much, but I rate it. I am not on FB, though I may be considering it for work.

  11. I have a twitter account and post my blog to it, but that’s about it. I find it too fast-paced and empty. Just my opinion.
