Barn Charm!

Photobucket
These two barns are in the Missouri River Bottom on the way to Hermann, Missouri. No shortage of barns on the way to wine, brats and chocolate. Hmmmm, appropo maybe for some on the 14th of February. At least these two charming barns are keeping each other company. Should be posting a little red barn! I am sure there are going to be some sweet little red barns for this week’s Barn Charm πŸ™‚

  1. Love what you did with the photo! I cannot wait for more MIssouri Wine…and brats and chocolate? Sounds like a perfect meal! When we get back to Missouri this year, I will let you know…will have to try to hook up for some vineyard tours or lunch or something! Did you ever try the Persimmon Wines from Persimmon Ridge Vineyard in Barnhart? They were really good! Happy Valentine’s Day!

    1. Rose I take my pictures to Photobucket and when I load to WordPress they are not clickable to enlarge. Sorry. Someday I will figure out a way πŸ™‚ My theme with WordPress has size limits. When I blogged at Blogger I could almost put a football sized picture on there!

  3. These two barns are definitely a wonderful bit of history of that part of the country. They are beautiful. What a treat for the eyes. They look unused to me, but I may be missing something. Your processing of the image is superb. Great job. genie

    1. Genie thank you so much for your kind words! The barns in the Missouri river bottoms are filled with history and I wish they could talk. Soybeans will be going in soon and the fields will come to life and there will be a tractor or two resting in the bigger barn πŸ™‚ I enjoyed my visit to your blog and love your post-processing. Love those textures!

  4. Love the processing Pix! It’s so appropriate that these two charming barns are keeping each other company on Valentine’s Day. The smaller barn looks like it has a red roof. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your sweetheart, CH!

  6. I already β€œdeciphered” what caused that infinite scroll. WordPress added it in the Reading Feature. To undo it, you have to check your setting and click reading. Doing that will show you β€œto infinity and beyond” β€” found just above the Enhanced Feeds category (if you allow me to call it that way). Adjacent to it is a box, which was checked by default; hence, you have to remove the check sign by clicking the box.

  7. i checked the settings for comments and don’t see an option to include ‘name/url’. i’ve got it as open as i can (except for anonymous). not sure if blogger doesn’t include this option, or because i’m using the older interface that it doesn’t have that setting in it? i hate that i can’t help you make things easier!?

    1. Tex have you ever seen the Name/URL option on another Blogger blog. I used it when I was with Blogger, it was in my comment settings. Here is a link to someone that uses it~The Farmer’s Daughter. My old blog, Rural Rambles, is still sitting in private mode collecting dust. I will have to check the comment settings as I am just curious now. Yes it is entirely possible that you do not have that option but believe me I was using the old interface. I had an old theme/blog and never switched to New Editor, I hated it. It is ok T, I just appreciate that you tried. It sure as heck isn’t going to keep me from the Run*A*Round and from commenting there!
