Wordless Wednesday Again!
I know she is just another picture of a little brown Fox Squirrel but she is special. This is Suzy. Suzy Q. And this is her second year with us and as I walk my heart healthy laps these Fall days it is clear to me that she is Old Man Squirrel’s little girl. She is just like him. She follows me on a short bit of my walk, makes sure I’m watching her and she waits patiently for the hickory nuts CH leaves under her tree. The Old Man Squirrel’s tree. She joins us at 4 Under the Oaks looking for acorns while we sit close to the chiminea to stay warm. She is such a nice gift this Fall. It took a bit for her to warm up to us but now we know Old Man Squirrel left us this gift.
Joining Linda at Wordless Wednesday Again.
And Linda I done you proud. I am totally NOT wordless but so wordy you may have to rename this Chatty Wednesday!

She looks really sweet in that photo – they are inquisitive little creatures.

I have made a promise to Linda to be totally wordless next Wednesday except of course to link back to her. I owe it to all the Wordless Wednesdayers after this mini-novel!
November 14, 2012 at 10:09 am

Suzy Q is absolutely adorable………I adore squirrels. Have had several really wonderful “relationships” with squirrels through the years; some of them have amazing personalities don’t they? Suzy is defnitely NOT “just another brown fox squirrel” either – I can tell by the look in her eyes!

November 14, 2012 at 6:34 pm
She is a cutie! I’m still mad at my squirrels for eating my plums :0(
November 14, 2012 at 11:13 am
I know Carol! I am still mad at the triplet deer that ate all my impatiens!
November 14, 2012 at 6:34 pm
That’s so sweet! They learn to know you won’t hurt them, yet they keep their distance! Love the picture!
November 14, 2012 at 11:39 am
Thank you..
Yes I am sure she knows we have no intentions of hurting her. She has taken over the whole front yard!
November 14, 2012 at 6:33 pm
They’re fun to watch! I have a little red squirrel that is quite rare to see in my parts and she’s just too cute! She doesn’t take any crap from the grey squirrels!
November 15, 2012 at 7:21 am
Lucky you! I do like the red/brown Fox Squirrels much better than the grays. When we first moved to the Tiny Ten 8 years ago we had more brown squirrels than grays, now that has switched. So I cherish every little brown squirrel we have.
November 15, 2012 at 10:18 am
Great photo. My squirrels must be hyper because they never stop long enough for a photo session. Dashing along the fence, dashing up and down the tree, zip zip zip
November 14, 2012 at 11:44 am
She just sits there and gives me the stare. If I start to leave she follows me. Just like her Old Man..
November 14, 2012 at 6:31 pm
Hey, Buddy!!! I’ve missed you!! I love this little Suzy Q character.. and her story. The picture if fabulous, and I could tell right away that she was not just “any old squirrel”

November 14, 2012 at 6:28 pm
Squirrels are so darn busy and cute. No wonder you keep an eye out for her. From looks of her belly, you’re taking good care of her. Hope she’s saving something for winter.
November 14, 2012 at 6:39 pm
Hi Faye! Oh yeah, she spends her whole day burying acorns and nuts. Hopefully she will remember where she jack-hammered them in! If not we will give her goodies..
