I am a small town girl turned city gal turned country gal that wanted to indulge myself with a blog where I could place my pictures of subjects that are special to me. Pictures of people, places, things, kitties, horses and wild things on legs and feathered that make my heart happy. I also wanted to print a few words. I am a born in MissouREE retired in MissouREE happy picture taker living rural with a Nikon D5100 and D60 that are both smarter than I am. They are trying to boss me around and I am loving it. Both picture taking Nikons have recruited a few lenses to make me feel even more bossed around and clueless. I am learning each day and that is a good and fun thing.

I did carve it myself while CH stood by to make sure there were no injuries! Those pumpkins were ginormous from the Pumpkin Festival!!

People buy most of them at the Festival. The drought hurt the pumpkin harvest this year but it was still a festive Festival..

A bad year for root vegetables too. The price of carrots is set to soar.

Everything is up in price here now because very few of the corn and soybeans and hay were harvested. The old trickle down thing. We love our carrots here roasted in the oven with rosemary..

Hi, Pix! Love the Laugh Often shaded lamp next to the smiling punkin! Cute kitty, too. If only mine would stand at attention like that…ha! They’ve been romping through the house big time lately and Peanut just got “fixed” last week and is supposed to be kept quiet. Yeah, well, that’s like asking the sun not to come up!
