Captures. And A Few Words.

Barn Charm!

DSC_2123-Copycopy
Geesh! I fell off the wagon. I missed Barn Charm. I am moving out of our house on the Tiny Ten just to be close to this charming barn and silo! You know… so I could just walk out and hug it every ding dang day whenever I felt like it. And throw it a kiss and take a picture and put it on my blog and say “see what I got? I have a charming barn! I have a charming barn with a red roof and red silo”. Nah, I wouldn’t do that. I would just sit out in that field ticks and chiggers be danged and stare at it all day. Quietly. And then I would do a happy dance and maybe just maybe it would rain!

    • I wish you could send us some rain too! We are HOT and DRY. Every little thing outside is droopin’ and sad and hot and wilted and we have been watering! But I am happy you have some rain, I will look at your pictures knowing everything is green and happy there… :)

    • Pamela thank you so much for your visit! It is a loved home and barn I believe. I will take my stinky OFF! Dang that sounds a little strange. I will take my bottle of OFF spray~that’s better.

  4. What an absolutely beautiful barn (and setting) .

I know that many of you need rain, and I’d gladly send some of our excess (Oregon) if I could. We’re having a very gray and wet June this year.

  5. Wow, Pix! You’ve got a stunning photo there. I’d be framing that one and put it on my wall to stare at every day! That way you won’t have to leave your Tiny Ten and brave the ticks and chiggers. :) About the happy dancing…if I thought it would bring a rain, I’d put on a one woman show right in my front yard! Stay cool!

    June 25, 2012 at 8:32 pm

    • Well I already told you what I think we need to do for rain! Thank you on the good words about the picture… :) I bet you have a barn up by now!! I would sure check out your one woman show!

    June 25, 2012 at 8:36 pm

    • No we don’t seem to be able to move from it but we have been trying! I couldn’t leave all the wild things.

  11. I grinned all the way through! You may as well try the happy dance; the weather fairies could listen!

    June 25, 2012 at 9:34 pm

    • They would have to do something magical cause those weather people see no relief for us and this kind of hot makes me cranky and I am not just talking a little cranky it messes with my mood in a big way! Somethings gotta give!!

  13. Great processing on this barn. It looks like a painting.

    June 25, 2012 at 11:14 pm

    • Thank you so much. Those textures from Kim Klassen are fun. Those are some lucky people to have that barn and they are keeping it up.

      June 26, 2012 at 6:37 am

  14. Your happy spirit is infectious and you just make me smile :) The barn is beautiful – I would stare at it all day too!

    June 26, 2012 at 12:36 am

  15. Maiu

Nice work with the shot! I wish I could do that.

    June 26, 2012 at 3:12 am

    • Hello! Thank you! Looks like you do textures very well. I love the texture on your charming red barn… :)

      June 28, 2012 at 6:21 am

  16. Oh I agree about that barn – it’s a “pip” (does anybody but me ever still say that word???). Ticks and chiggers be darned, I’d risk it for a walk around that barn and property. Rain? What’s that? We literally had a thirty second shower yesterday – THIRTY SECONDS. Sigh. Keep up the rain dance – sometimes it works ya know.

    Pam (and Sam)

    June 26, 2012 at 5:24 am

    • I have certainly heard “pip” used but I don’t think I have ever used it. It is a perky word, I might have to use it… :D Good Morning to you!

  19. Ok, you must love barns more than me, cuz I wouldn’t fight the ticks & chiggers!!! No way, no how!

That barn IS very beautiful, tho… if the dance works, please dance that dance in this area, cuz we need it very badly!!! =)

    June 26, 2012 at 12:25 pm

    • Tricia I am not for sure for sure I could brave those ticks and chiggers but it sounded good! It was 103 today. Sigh.

      June 27, 2012 at 8:38 pm

  20. It is amazing the uncomplicated things that can bring joy and peace to us.

  21. Hello again. :)

Thankfully for me, I have a WordPress account from when I was involved in a paper arts challenge (and took over a blog for someone else), so commenting on WP isn’t too much of an issue (except that I have to log-in every single time lol).

Doing rollovers is relatively easy. I’ve had quite a few people mention that they’d like to learn how to do it, so I’ve posted a tutorial. There are also lots of tutorials online, but if you’re interested in the one I wrote this afternoon……

    Noteworthy Musings

See you around Barn Charm! :-)

    June 26, 2012 at 5:31 pm

    • Carole thank you so much for the heads up on your tutorial for rollovers! I would have gotten back to you sooner but I am having issues with WordPress support. They wonkied up my blog yesterday in IE browser and all I have been doing is going back and forth with them and I have no way to navigate around my blog. I will be heading over to your blog to learn about rollovers… :)

      June 27, 2012 at 8:32 pm

  22. Have always loved your barns! :)

    June 27, 2012 at 12:35 am

    • Thank you hugmamma! I am working my way to your blog!!

      June 27, 2012 at 8:34 pm

      • No hurry…you’ve a lot of friends. I’m just lucky to be one of them. :(

        June 28, 2012 at 1:09 am

  23. She sure is a beauty! I will join you in the happy dance. We need the rain so bad!

    June 27, 2012 at 11:01 am

    • Deanna we need the rain and I don’t know if I am going to be able to survive this heat wave worrying about our trees and plants and all the neighbor’s kitties out in the heat without crying! I think I am going to get in the car and run away!!!!! I have had a pooptastic day. Thank you for your visit. Maybe we could coordinate happy dances for rain… :)

      June 27, 2012 at 8:30 pm

  24. For a moment I thought you were really moving! Lovely picture of a lovely barn. And a nice clean clear theme to show off your words and photos.

    June 30, 2012 at 2:38 pm
