I am so looking forward to enjoying a glass or two with you when we finally make it back to good ol’ Missouri! Hoping for the fall sometime, depending on Dan’s recovery! Loved the photos of the wine glasses…you did a bang-up job!

    May 17, 2012 at 8:29 pm

    • Well hoping that Dan makes a quick and thorough recovery Linda! I would love to see you in the Fall Under the Oaks or some place to meet.

  5. Gorgeous – again!

I just came in from a couple hours of gardening. At this time of year, it’s just weeding, but next week I get to start planting flowers. Yeah!

    May 17, 2012 at 9:39 pm

    • Planting flowers! Good for you! It’s about time it’s almost time to plant some flowers up there!!!

  6. Ohhh, that’s very nice! Cool and sunshiny weather.
And I LUV the wine glass. :)

    • Hi Tita! I love the wine glasses too. The glasses are half the fun of drinking the wine! :D

      May 18, 2012 at 9:31 am

      • Haha, your reply came in while I was checking out some pictures of handpainted glasses on the web. They are so lovely I wish I can just start a collection (all too fragile and most would have to be shipped across the world).

        May 18, 2012 at 9:42 am

        • I have googled handpainted wine glasses out there on the intersweb. They are out there! I just would like some more of the ones I have. I haven’t found them! I think if you found some you love they would make it to you Tita!

  7. Charade

Did you paint those wine glasses? They’re so fun, and your secluded spot looks so inviting. The only thing that could have made this day any MO better would have been a light morning rain. Charade: http://gritsandgraffiti.blogspot.com

    May 17, 2012 at 10:17 pm

    • No I didn’t paint them, but I wish I could because I have been looking for more of them and can’t find them. Broke a few… :) The Mama bought us the first six in Florida and I found another six at Dillards. If I had the talent to paint them I would do a happy dance! I agree about the light morning rain, we need some rain. Charade thank you so much for stopping by. You were thrown in my spam for some dang reason. Have you been bombarded by comments from my posts when you comment here? As a blogger blog person do you find it hard to comment here at Under the Oaks. WordPress is messing with comments AGAIN and I would like to know if you had any problems.

  11. Wow….what a beautiful spot to enjoy a glass (or bottle!!) of wine…….can almost feel a nice soft breeze and taste the “vino” from here. Sam says he’d like to tiptoe around that grass and those trees too…….just gorgeous!

    • Sam could certainly tiptoe around all he wants. I wonder if he would like to chase the lizards?

      May 18, 2012 at 9:21 am

      • Oh wow….lizards…..what are those????? Mom says I’d like them and she usually knows what she’s talking about. ;)

  12. Beautiful! I sure wish we had some of that green stuff here in the desert :)

    May 18, 2012 at 7:28 am

    • Bridget! Oh My Gosh! It is funny you would comment on this post because CH and I were sitting out Under the Oaks talking about you yesterday! Seriously! Your ears must have been burning. We are talking about moving to a place to retire and the Southwest and Florida have always been the choices. We are looking at Peoria, Arizona and you came up and how you like it out there in the desert. We lived in El Paso for 4 years and loved it but we were lots younger and the heat wasn’t such a big deal. Anywho thanks for stopping by and I think CH is getting tired of cutting all the green stuff.

      May 18, 2012 at 9:42 am

  13. I would love to sit there with you for awhile. We could solve the problems of the world while we sipped wine. Beautiful spot!

  16. I had to smile at your words of being tired of the barn view :)

This is so lush and vibrantly green. Thanks for sharing. Most trees here are dressed in green at last, too. And it is sunny outside. Yay! Gotta love the sunshine.

Hope you have a great day!

    May 19, 2012 at 10:18 am

    • Glad your trees have their summer green on! No sunshine for us today, storms in the forecast. But it was beautifully sunshiney yesterday! Hot too.
