Barn Charm. Feeling Blue?

I like this little red barn. Like it. Lots. So, I don’t know why when I played with editing the darkness and blueness of it pleased me. One of the things I love about texture when people play with their pictures is seeing what makes them happy in an edit. My mood for the day must be reflected in this picture. I did it for Barn Charm last week and then PROcrastinated and found all kinds of reasons not to post. Myself is such a PROcrastinator. What’s up with that? The people that call Little Red here their own, they must be PROcrastinators too. Or maybe they couldn’t decide red or white for this fence. Maybe they like the fence red and white. Was the fence red and now they like white. White now red? What I really love about this picture is that sweet little tree leaning toward the silo. Really. That tree has a life. That tree has a presence. Personality is what that little tree has. I gotta have a tree in a Barn Charm photo! Whoa! You do not want to google PROcrastinator after admitting to PROcrastination and asking “What’s up with that?”. No you do not.
With no further PROcrastination I am joining Tricia and the others at Barn Charm!

I think that adorable tree has a crush on that silo……
Love the texture in the photo mostly because it makes it look like an oil painting on canvas….maybe an old painting that needs some cleaning…..LOL Whatever ELSE I could say, I must say that I love the whole thing – leaning tree and all.
Pam (and Sam)

Thank you Pam for loving the whole thing! And Sam thank you too! I agree about the tree and silo…

Good Morning Dianna! Thank you for loving it, blue and all! And not feeling blue at all today, it is beautifully sunny. Sorry you have rain, but rain is good for you all now, right?! Enjoy your Tuesday!

Well now I’m cetainly glad you quit PROcrastinating! I love that little tree too. Lovely barn. I’m starting to have trouble remembering where the barns were located. Love the edits you made. Very interesting.

Deanna this one was just outside Springfield. Maybe Fair Grove. Maybe nearer to Buffalo……

I love what you did with this photo. And that tree…….. Can’t you just picture yourself sitting under that tree on a sunny day with a good book and a nice glass of red wine?
May 15, 2012 at 11:07 am
Yes! I can picture myself under that tree with a good book and a glass of wine! And speaking of books Kim I just finished the bestest book. Have you read The Dog Who Danced by Susan Wilson? If not you gotta read

I love that gorgeous red barn! Wonder if they are in the process of painting the fence red or white? Or maybe they started and just quit. Hmmm.
Enjoy this beautiful Missouri weather we’re having now!
Speaking of PROcrastinating, I’ve been known to do that a lot myself! Oh, what the hay, make that A LOT!!
May 15, 2012 at 12:15 pm
I don’t know Cheryl, I kinda get the feeling they are done! We are loving the weather, another beautiful day today! Have a great Wednesday…

This is the perfect scene. Thanks for drawing my attention to the fence, I hadn’t noticed. It’s like the red ends near the corner of the barn. I guess we’ll never know why. Unless you keep it under surveillance…Hmmm, now you’ve got me wondering about PROcrastinating.
May 15, 2012 at 1:07 pm
I might just keep it under surveillance but I have a feeling they are done! We PROcrastinators, meaning me, supposedly have other issues…
May 16, 2012 at 6:09 am
You lost me at the first PROcrastinator, LOL! Nice photo though Pix! Margie
May 15, 2012 at 2:26 pm
Thanks Margie! I got a little lost myself in that ramble

When I need a little pick me up, I come here to see what you’ve put up. I enjoy your work so much I nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. You can see what it’s all about by visiting my blog at http://www.LivingbyIntuitionandInspiration.wordpress.com. Thank you for such variety.

Thank you so much for thinking of Under the Oaks for this award. Due to my befuddlement over accepting awards and my PROcrastination about passing them on I decided a few months ago to not do awards. I appreciate the kindness in thinking of me. I have made a brief visit to your blog and bookmarked it. I will be back to read more. So! You are a Missouri girl…

I like your work. I want more people to see it. So be it. Live in MO right now, can’t claim it as home state, though. Do love the Spring times here, especially this year.

Yep, it’s a good thing. I found a wonderful friend here in MO, and it would not have happened if I hadn’t moved here. She lives in Springfield.

what a great click – and your texture is the dot on the ‘i’, so to speak.
love the two-toned fence which was left that way just for your camera
and the tree adds something to the image, too.
thank you for sharing. happy Tuesday!

Thank you Kris! Yes I am sure they left that fence like that just to befuddle me and make me ask questions.

Oh, man, I have you beat in the procrastination department. I’ve missed two weeks in a row of Barn Charm, and if I don’t get moving toward my own laptop soon, I’ll miss another one. Love your barn and your processing.
May 15, 2012 at 10:00 pm
Good Morning Charade! We don’t want you to miss Barn Charm. Sometimes though real life just gets in the way! Thanks for stopping by…
May 16, 2012 at 6:18 am
Love it!! There is a blue denim-ish, canvas, dreamy quality to it that I love. Not to mention all the ingredients of the photo, including the barn.. awesome!! I don’t know what texture that is, Pix.. but you nailed it
p.s. I am an old pro at procrastination myself. Darn good at it too!
May 15, 2012 at 10:12 pm
Good Morning Tammy! I am soooooo happy to see you! I know you are staying busy but I miss you! Oooo Tammy PROcrastination is B.A.D. I have perfected it. That texture is pumpkin grunge, mutliply 80% or so. I think…
Pumpkin Grunge for sure from Kim Klassen.

Procrastination is alive and well at my house. I’m a lazy bones and put off chores with everything but gardening. I think it’s like Spring fever or something.
Great photo. The a honey of a story book barn.
May 17, 2012 at 12:54 pm
E.C. I can’t think of anything but being outside during this gorgeous Spring weather! I don’t even need PROcratination as an excuse. I like your honesty. Just a lazy bones I am…
