Intersweb. Not.
We have not had an intersweb connection since 1:30 this morning. Three trucks from Centurylink showed up yesterday afternoon at the neighbors and after the workers “worked” for a couple of hours we had brief moments of connection. Every little thing was fine till the workers “worked”. Today more brief moments of intersweb. I have tried to post this entry twice and lost it twice. Bad words have been uttered and mumbled. I am ready to climb the walls……
ummmm, maybe the the kitty tree. Right Kitty? Kitty not so Busy at this second.
Everthing is cool. For now. Maybe I can get back to the pleasure of getting a picture up for the Weekly Photo Challenge and looking at the other pictures people have posted and do some commenting. The theme for the Photo Challenge is WORN. So many possibilities, so many interpretations.

Yes our internet is acting up. I called a firend who is a tech at Centurylink, and he said there is trouble from central office.

Hi Patti! We called too. It is doing much better now. I am sure they had more calls than they ever wanted to think about. Our electricity went out yesterday morning. It hardly ever does. And yep I know where you work. And we love our electric Co-Op and the people that work for them. They have gone beyond the call of duty for us three times!

Izzy doesnt look too concerned about the intersweb issue. She must have had a hard day at work. I guess the workers havent heard the old saying “if it aint broke, dont fix it”
June 21, 2011 at 2:37 pm
Yes Christina, Izzy was Busy all and I mean all morning. She did a little rearranging, a little demolition, tried to change the texture on the fabric of the couch but was redirected to her own Izzy scratcher and found out that bathtubs do indeed have water in them, especially when someBODY is sitting in them shaving their legs. And yes I think the workers should think about your old saying with regards to things that aint broke!

The photo of Izzy sleeping is just too adorable!
A transformer in our neighborhood blew up last night and we didn’t get our power back until Noon today. It’s a good thing that we had cool weather in Kansas City this morning! Isn’t it amazing how many things depend on electricity – including computers.
I hope your intersweb stays up. Good luck!
June 21, 2011 at 2:48 pm
Hi Theresa! That is a long time without power. I mentioned up in one of the other comments that our power went off yesterday morning but only for maybe an hour. We have a well, so when we don’t have electricity we don’t have water. But I can go without water longer than the computer! I am happy you have power today
It is gorgeous here today, hope you are having the same kind of weather up your way!

The weather is really nice in Kansas City – cool and breezy. Take care. -Theresa

Here too Theresa. Gorgeous. Are we just so lucky? Enjoy it. As soon as I eat my breakfast, I’m coming back to enjoy your new post!
June 22, 2011 at 8:18 am
oh, i hate those days. frustrating!
June 21, 2011 at 5:09 pm
Yes, but I kept busy. It was gorgeous here today and we spent some good old summer time outside!
June 21, 2011 at 7:47 pm
Izzy is adorable and I like the name. It’s very fitting. I’m so glad y’all found your special kitty. We have verizon fios and NEVER have problems but I know once we get moved to the rural area I will be in the same boat as you. Just a small price to pay for country life, I’ll just have to adjust.
June 21, 2011 at 6:29 pm
Good Evening Deb! Yeah, we kind of like her, I think we will keep her
Believe me you won’t mind a few adjustments for that country life. I know you already know that. I can’t stop calling her Itty Bitty. She is just going to have lots of names!
Pictures??????

Izzy looks right at home in those pictures. I hope she knows that she hit the jackpot when she met you and CH.
As much as I hate to have delays or disruptions in Izzy pictures, I always try take internet or power disruptions as a sign that it’s time to slow down. Do you have a good book you could settle in with>
June 21, 2011 at 7:34 pm
Ooooo Janice I do have a good book I just finished. *Every Last One*-Anna Quindlen. I couldn’t put it down. And today I am reading *The Elegance of the Hedgehog*-Muriel Barbery. I am still not sure about this one but I am enjoying it more as I get into it.
I think Izzy the Busy is a happy girl but sometimes feels a little befuddled. I am no stranger to that feeling.
June 21, 2011 at 8:00 pm
Thanks for the recommendation(s). I’ll add the first to my to-read list, and have a look at the second.

Hi Pix! I love your Izzy photos and I showed them to my daughter and she said to tell you that she agrees with me that you have one beautiful kitty! That tree for Izzy looks awesome and something we should probably get Stormy…I know she’d love one. Wasn’t today great? A little windy, but I loved the cooler temps. Hope your connections stay good! Looking forward to more Izzy photos. (hint, hint)
June 21, 2011 at 10:32 pm
Cheryl it is going to be even better today!
And, yes, I know Stormy would love a kitty tower. She loved climbing the Christmas tree right? There will be more pictures of the Fuzz Butt, but I don’t want to bore people with pictures of my kid. I mean cat. Well, kid.
Thank your daughter for thinking that Izzy the Busy is beautiful. She is kinda cute
June 22, 2011 at 7:24 am
Izzy is a peach! Adorable!
We lost our internet service for a bit yesterday (bad storms) and I was thanking the Lord for smartphones with 3g. How pathetic is that!?
June 22, 2011 at 7:51 am
It. Is. Pathetic. But more pathetic that I’d thank the Lord with you. But my cell wasn’t doing it. I couldn’t even get 3G cause we live in the boonies and our wi-fi was shot too. It was pathetic. Did make me read a book though and do a load of laundry!
Sam, we love Izzy the Busy. Until she got the squirts yesterday
I guess we will still keep her. Of course we will!!!!!!
June 22, 2011 at 8:14 am
great kitty pics. New kitty looks like she’s going to enjoy being part of the family. I’ve enjoyed catching up on your blog!
June 22, 2011 at 10:04 am
Good Morning Sheila! Thanks for stopping by! We love the addition and I think she is happy too. I just wish she would slow down for five little seconds!
June 23, 2011 at 7:37 am

Good Thursday Morning Cathy! Izzy seems to be working for her. Izzy the Busy! It doesn’t hurt to indulge ourselves now and then right? Or in the case of blogging, every dang day
I loved my visit to your blog and enjoyed your pictures so much. I am glad you were able to take that wonderful Maine getaway! And now I am thanking you for visiting. Nice to see you!
June 23, 2011 at 5:24 am
She is so precious!!! Love that second shot….
June 22, 2011 at 5:51 pm
Precious but constantly in motion. I am still pooped. Who knew she would be this Izzy Busy. We have not had an itty bitty kitten since 1975. We are too old for this. But she is so dang cute!!!!!
June 23, 2011 at 7:44 am
WordPress is still doing it’s thing tonight – just like Izzy, it’s not being busy!!
June 23, 2011 at 10:25 pm
Yes, I don’t understand. I can’t comment on some of my favorite WordPress blogs and can’t stay signed in! It’s frustrating! Dang I love it here at WordPress, but might as well be back at blogger : ( Maybe something wrong on MY puter or need to update my browser or change browsers.
June 23, 2011 at 10:31 pm
PIX!!!!! You have a baby kitten? Oh she’s a cute one. I LOVE the name Izzy. Violet is 17 and the memories of what she was as a kitten makes me exhausted just thinking about it. But it’s so much fun to have a baby animal in your life despite all the b a d, and I mean BAD when it refers to Violet. Hopefully Izzy will be a good kitten who grows into a good cat…with just a smidgen of sass to keep things interesting.
So happy you have an Izzy Busy Kitty Cat.
June 27, 2011 at 10:00 pm
Maria!!!!!! I am so happy to “see” you! It was great to see a post with your “helpers” there on that land in Kansas. I just knew you were busy, busy, busy doing good things to your acreage. I thought it was just Stellafullahella that was baaaaaad! Violet looks too sweet to be bad. Izzy the Busy is trying to be a good kitten but she can be baaaaad. I can see her thinking about being baaaaad as she eyes and spies something to get into, out of, onto, etc. Mr. Pix and I are pooped. I am sure this is very much like having a kid in the house. We haven’t had a kitten since 1974. What were we thinking? Country Cat was 7 months when we adopted her and she was a quiet little thing. I think Busy Izzy will always have sass
Hey You! Don’t make us wait so long for your posts. Please. I missed you
June 27, 2011 at 11:25 pm
Aren’t baby kittens wonderful? And I love the name Izzy. It is perfect.
I hope you are enjoying the weather we are having right now, because it looks like we are in for some really hot days to come!
Deanna
June 28, 2011 at 8:42 am
Deanna baby kittens are a wonderful joyful blur! But Izzy the Busy is baaaaaaad in a funny mischievous way
She has one long frapping(frap-frenetic acts of random play!) session at night and I swear we think we are going to have to call in an exorcist. CH calls her the Devil Cat! We love her though. Mostly when she is sleeping. Kidding. You know I’m kidding.
Yes, we are going to enjoy today outside and then plan time on The Porch where the ac is a gift!
